Maintenance Worker
Now Hiring: Maintenance Worker – Full Time (Non‑Exempt)
Mohawk Indian Housing Corporation is seeking a dependable, skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team. This position performs repairs, unit turnovers, preventative maintenance, and general building upkeep across MIHC and Hogansburg Housing Development Fund properties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare vacant units for move‑in
• Perform building repairs (drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, flooring, siding, concrete)
• Maintain daily maintenance logs
• Assist with inventory and supplies
• Participate in on‑call rotation
• Support staff and community events as needed
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• 2–5 years of maintenance or building repair experience
• Ability to lift 50–80 lbs. and work indoors/outdoors
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
